Roger Waters Plans The Wall Concert Tour
After thirty years, former Pink Floyd member Roger Waters has announced plans to bring his most ambitious album, “The Wall” on tour beginning in September 2010. The album has been performed live only a handful of times and on this tour Waters will perform the album in full. Roger has looked back at the 30 years old album and believes its themes of war, isolation and nationalism resonate today. The Wall features Pink Floyd classics including “Comfortably Numb,” “Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2,” and “Run Like Hell.” Roger Waters will begin the tour in Toronto, then visit the US before heading to Europe. Roger has speculated that this may be his swan song as far as touring is concerned so that makes this tour extra special. We recently screened a copy of the Wall from Earl’s Court and the concert looked and felt current. With the advance in tehnology over the past 30 years, Roger hopes to have even more special effects than the original concert.
